The summer camp of the Holy Metropolis of Nikaia at Stephani in Boeotia (Voiotia) has been operating for 36 years, offering hospitality to hundreds of children annually. Its premises were renovated in 2009, after the devastating fire of 2007 on Mount Parnes, and include dormitories, recreation spaces, sports grounds, refectories and other facilities. The Non-profit Civil Company AEGEAS has supported practically the function and upgrading of the camp’s infrastructure. Thanks to its donation, a system of active fire protection was put in place for all the buildings and outdoor spaces, the installation of which was essential precondition for obtaining the permit for the camp’s operation. In addition, AEGEAS undertook the renovation and enlargement of the kitchen spaces.
