Construction of the new Town Hall of Megalopolis commenced in late 2009, on a plot owned by the municipality in the town’s main square. Initially the Non-profit Civil Company AEGEAS had undertaken to sponsor the construction of the load-bearing structure of the building. However, because the municipality was unable to bring the project to fruition, and rather than leave the building unfinished, the Non-profit Civil Company AEGEAS took over its completion. Furthermore, it donated all the essential equipment and the furnishings of the rooms. Its contribution was decisive in giving Megalopolis a Town Hall with modern infrastructure and functional spaces, which serve the needs of the citizens every day.
