The building at the junction of Sinas and 47 Akadimias Street is one of the Greek capital’s most characteristic examples of eclectic architecture with baroque influences. Constructed in 1923, it is the property of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and houses the Faculty of Laws. In the major fire in December 2008, it suffered serious damage. The renovation works have respected absolutely the morphology of the listed building and have brought back to life one of the most emblematic buildings in Athens, which now houses the secretariat of the Law School, offices for personnel and lecture halls.
